My i-friend, Flea Bailey, saw a photo of Cindy Anthony frowning and compared it with a photo of Moe Howard (leader of the Three Stooges) -- switched at birth?

As many of you know, Cindy and George Anthony were deposed by Morgan & Morgan on 4/9/09 on behalf of Zenaida Gonzalez, whose life has been turned upside-down by the Anthony's lying daughter, Casey Anthony. Their behavior at the depositions was APPALLING! I think this shot of Cindy pretty much sums it up and is my current personal favorite image of her:

The above photo immediately followed what I consider a downright OBSCENE (in the sense of horrifying) wink she gave her lawyer when she thought she had gotten one over on the opposing side's lawyer:

And throughout the deposition, Cindy chewed her gum, open-mouthed, like a cow chewing cud. I am NOT exaggerating. Here is an image of her doing exactly that. This particular one is quite open-mouthed, but she also swung her lower jaw considerably side-to-side -- for HOURS. She is NOT saying anything at that particular moment, just chewing. During a videotaped deposition, which is a court proceeding.

What a class act! Notice I don't say which class.

Back at the end of December I predicted/suggested a more conservative new look for Casey in court. She can't look like a schoolgirl or a tart, after all. Today she showed up with another makeover. So, how far off was I?

Casey's Potential Makeover

Casey Anthony will be going to trial next year, accused of murdering her 2-yr-old daugher, Caylee. I think she did it. So do most people who have ever heard of the case. Casey had been flagrantly enjoying her partying lifestyle since her tot disappeared, not even bothering to tell ANYONE that her daughter was missing. Casey's mother finally confronted her and SHE was the one who called the police. Casey lied and lied and lied and lied, even when she didn't need to lie she lied. About EVERYTHING.

Hmmm, Casey needs to tone down her image for court to look as waifish and innocent as possible. However, she can't go for the schoolgirl look, because her little girl was the one who was murdered. Showing up in a girlish dress, knee socks and pigtails and/or barrettes won't go over well. No, she'll have to go for a staid, conservative, no-nonsense, asexual look. They need to tone down her sexiness at all costs, since it will only serve to remind people of the many sexy photos of her enjoying her freedom from parenthood. How about THIS look?

They'll probably throw in a pair of glasses like they did at one of the press conferences, although I suspect they'll invest a couple of bucks in some really thick, butt-ugly glasses that they dig up from a Goodwill or garage sale.

Deviating from my Phil Spector theme, I had seen a post on a crime forum from someone who said that every time she saw a certain photo of Casey Anthony (who allegedly murdered her 2-yr-old daughter in Orlando, FL), she was eerily reminded of a certain photo of Ted Bundy and was interested in seeing a comparison photo. Sure enough, there IS a spooky resemblance, at least in that particular expression.

This one isn't silly, just slightly interesting. Dorothy Melvin testified on 11/4/08 that some guys once asked Phil for his autograph, but they thought he was Dudley Moore. Well, it's been a little over a year since I last posted here. As I mentioned in a comment a few days ago, I've been waiting for another "inspiration" to hit. It HAS. I keep seeing the same photo popping up of Phil Spector in court in October 2008. Damn, he's looking even worse than before! His hair is WAAAAY too dark for him and, as before, looks ridiculous. But that's a minor point. I think of many things (none of them good) whenever I see a photo of him, but one thing is pretty consistent -- he looks like a turtle/tortoise. So, in the spirit of my previous Switched At Birth comparisons, here's one of Phil Spector vs. a tortoise (click the link or the photo for a larger view).

My Spector Trial Synopsis on Sprocket's Blog

Round about mid-September I started to respond to a post on the Court TV Message Boards in the Phil Spector Forum to try to explain why so many of us were seemingly obsessed by the Phil Spector Murder Trial. It just started POURING out of me and I realized that it would be much more than a mere response to a post. It was really quite cathartic to get it all out. It was also quite entertaining in many parts! So I gave it its own thread (broken into six parts). It was well-received, but little read since most people were concentrating on the main daily threads, which were racing along fast and furiously at about 2000 posts/day.

A few days later, Sprocket asked if she could post it on her own blog, Trials & Tribulations. I was THRILLED for the opportunity! Sprocket had been attending the trial on a near-daily basis since the beginning and blogging about it. She had befriended quite a few members of the press (especially Dominick Dunne, with whom she sat during most of the trial).

Between the two of us we cleaned it up (hey, I originally posted it in the wee hours of the morning, having put several hours into it at that point) and she posted This Trial Has Everything! on September 20, 2007. It's not only fun to reread, but it can also be something of a springboard for new discussions on how things might be done differently in the second trial.

Phil (67) sported a Little Dutch Boy hairdo for the first trial. Then he changed it to a look that would be more appropriate on a 16-yr-old skateboarder. Then he darkened it, presumably to look more adult.

Now that a new trial is afoot, what look will he debut in order to convey the essential image of innocence and purity? Perhaps it will be something like this. After all, that first impression is SO important!

I've been following the Phil Spector murder trial since opening arguments and participated extensively on the Court TV message boards regarding this case. The FIRST trial is over now, so this blog is a little late in the game, but what the hell. I'm anxiously awaiting the second trial!

Kathy Sullivan, a waitress at the Grill On The Alley, said that Phil once escorted her and a friend out to their cars, but insisted on going upstairs to get his shotgun first. Phil is, uh, diminutive, and she thought the gun was longer than HE was, making him look like Elmer Fudd.

This one was just kind of slapped together in a moment of wishful thinking about Phil's future.
